How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that works by leveraging the power of the subconscious mind to bring about positive changes in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It involves inducing a state of deep relaxation and heightened suggestibility, commonly referred to as a hypnotic trance, to access and influence the client's inner psychological processes.
What to expect during hypnotherapy…
First, together we identify your specific goals and concerns. Whether it's managing stress, overcoming a phobia, breaking a habit, or addressing emotional issues, I will tailor the treatment to suit your individual needs.
During a hypnotherapy session, I will guide you into a state of focused attention and relaxation. In this trance-like state, the conscious mind becomes less active, allowing me to access the subconscious mind more readily.
I will then deliver therapeutic suggestions and imagery designed to reframe negative thought patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and promote positive change. These suggestions are based on your goals and are intended to encourage healthier behaviours or thought processes.
You remain aware and in control during the session, and you can't be made to do anything against their will or values. The process is collaborative and non-coercive.
